Proverbs 7:1-3 (New American Standard Bible) [A word for word translation]
1 My son, keep my words And treasure my commandments within you.
2 Keep my commandments and live, And my teaching as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Pastor’s Thoughts
As a parent, I find it very interesting how often God repeats Himself or restructures something He has said before into a different way. Heck as a Pastor, I understand why He does this.
God does not want us to be confused about what is or is not supposed to be done. He tells us to remember more times than I count all throughout the Bible.
We are forgetful people. We just are. He knows this. That is one of the reasons why He tells us that we need to be consistently (daily) in His Word… reading it, studying it, discussing it, sharing it, and obeying it.
We need God’s Word more than we need oxygen to breath. It is and should be that essential to His disciples (Christians).
How much are you prioritizing it in your own life? … Or your families life, business life, and all other aspects?
Have a blessed Wednesday everyone. I pray that you will let God remind you each day how good He is and how beneficial His Word will be to you when used correctly. Stick with God’s Word as disciples of Jesus Christ.
