Proverbs 6:12-15 (New Living Translation) [A thought for thought translation]

12 What are worthless and wicked people like? They are constant liars,

13 signaling their deceit with a wink of the eye, a nudge of the foot, or the wiggle of fingers.

14 Their perverted hearts plot evil, and they constantly stir up trouble.

15 But they will be destroyed suddenly, broken in an instant beyond all hope of healing.

Proverbs 6:12-15 (New American Standard Bible) [A word for word translation]

12 A worthless person, a wicked man, Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,

13 Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, Who points with his fingers;

14 Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, Who spreads strife.

15 Therefore his calamity will come suddenly; Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.

Pastor’s Thoughts

We need to be men and women of integrity.

We want the men and women in our lives to be people of integrity.

We want the people who are leading us in very places in our lives (work, church, government) to be people of integrity.

So why should we expect others to have integrity and excuse ourselves from doing so. The Bible makes it very clear that we as believers in Christ need to be people of integrity. That our yes is a yes and our no is a no. When say something, people know they can trust it.

Have a blessed Monday everyone. I pray that you will be a Christian who speaks the truth in love even when it’s difficult to do so.
