Pastor’s Thoughts

The secret to knowing and being in step with God’s will is all about having the right perspective.

What perspective you might ask. The perspective of knowing that God is in fact GOD and you are not. God knows better than you do, always. God can do far more than you can, always. He is not satisfied with and will never be satisfied with being an add on to our lives. He is an all or nothing God. He is a jealous God who has every right to be so.

If you see God for who He is and what the Bible says about Him then you will understand the importance of going to Him more often. So many people only go to God when their circumstances are pressing in on them and they have nowhere else to go. This is not Christianity. That is religion, and even Christian religion is a one way ticket to Hell.

God understands we are not perfect. He knows we will never be perfect. But that does not give us an excuse to go around sinning unrepentantly while still calling ourselves Christians.

If we truly want to be in step with God and His will then we must be willing to die to ourselves and be COMPLETELY DEPENDENT on Him. Not buying into man’s words but instead living off of God’s Word.

This requires us to humble ourselves and exalt Him. This requires us to be satisfied with being supporting characters rather than the main character. When we choose to live our lives with the mindset of bringing God glory then we will be right where we are supposed to be… Walking on His straight path.

Have a blessed Tuesday everyone. Repent of any sins that have been hurting your image of God and replace those sins with even more time in God’s Word and prayer learning who God is and what He asks of you.
