Pastor’s Thoughts
I debated whether I would do verse 5 and 6 together or if I would do them individually. As you can see, I chose to do these verses individually. The only reason I did that is because there is so much meat in both of these verses.
How many times has your understanding of something or a situation got you in a lot of trouble? Others told you this or that would happen and you did it anyway. Others told you this was the facts but you knew better only to find out you were wrong. Our understanding of things are oftentimes wrong and even dangerous.
The world wants us all to live our lives based off of how we feel rather than based off of truth and facts. This is not new. This has been going on since the Garden of Eden when Satan deceived Eve into disobeying God based off of feelings rather than trusting God and His Word.
If you will commit your life to always put God’s Word in context above your and any other persons understanding you will live a much more full, purpose filled life.
Have a blessed Monday everyone. Choose today to build your lives off of God’s Word and nothing else. Your marriages, your parenting, your friendships, your workplace, and any other area I have not covered.
