Pastor’s Thoughts

We are not to live like the world lives. The world is all about getting yours and only helping people when it benefits you. That benefit can be as simple as making sure others know that you did it so that you feel good about yourself.

This is not how God’s Word says we should live our lives. We are to be men and women who are loving our neighbors, our brothers and sisters in Christ, and yes even our enemies. We are to love all of God’s creation.

When people hurt us or lie about us we are to forgive them. We are to pray for them. We are to love them.

There will be many times where your flesh, the world, and the enemy will tempt you to plot harming or taking advantage of another person. Understand this, if you give into that temptation, you can almost all but be guaranteed that you will not have the opportunity in the future to tell that person about Jesus. They most likely will pull further away from Jesus after you have harmed them.

We are to love others based off how Jesus loved us. He loved us as a suffering servant.

I pray that instead of being known as someone who harms others, that instead you will be known as someone who builds others up.

Have a blessed Wednesday everyone. Ask God if there is anyone in your life that you struggle to love. And then WHEN that person(s) come to your mind, pray God’s blessings for them. Pray for their walk with the Lord or for their salvation.
