Pastor’s Thoughts

Satan is so good at getting you and I to boast in ourselves rather than in God. He gets us to say I did that when in fact we would not have been able to do that without the Lord in the first place.

This can be in church, outside of church, work, sports, and so many other areas of our lives.

The opposite of boasting in ourself is to boast in God. To humble ourselves before Him and acknowledge Him for who He truly is.

When we boast in ourselves it brings bad consequences. When we boast in God it brings good consequences.

I feel much more at peace in my life today not always trying to get people to think highly of me and instead just keeping my attention on God. It’s exhausting aiming to please other people. I can’t even please myself, so its insane of me to think I will be able to please others.

So, when you have opportunities to boast in yourself or others what will you choose to do? I pray that you will choose to boast in God.

Have a blessed Wednesday everyone. When given the opportunity to boast, boast in Jesus Christ!
