Pastor’s Thoughts
Life is full of choices. We make choices every day of the year. We make small, medium, and large choices. Choices, Choices, Choices.
As believers in Christ, the most important choice that we can make is what we will do with The Word of God, otherwise known as the Bible.
We can ignore it, read it, listen to it, obey it, abuse it and so much more.
The Bible teaches us that what we should do with it is “store it in our hearts.”
How does one store God’s Word within their hearts?
The answer is the same thing I had written in previous Daily Word’s just with less details.
- We need to make it a daily priority to KNOW what the Bible says by reading it.
- We need to PRAY before reading it, during reading it, and after reading it.
- We need to STUDY other trusted Bible translations and commentaries as to what other Godly men have to say about it.
- Then most importantly… We need to OBEY the commands and teachings that are found in it.
- Then we SHARE the truths from it with believers and non-believers.
- And as we do all these things, we must do it with a heart that is focused on GIVING GOD GLORY and not on us receiving glory.
That my friend, is how you and I will store God’s Word in our hearts.
Have a blessed Friday everyone. Starting today, calendar an unbreakable appointment everyday to store God’s Word in your heart.
