Pastor’s Thoughts
The simple fact is God gives wisdom to those who truly want it and are willing to put in the work to get it. There are a lot of people who want something, but they only want it if they don’t have to lift a finger to get it. They want to be able to remain lazy and have someone serve them by just giving them what they want.
Sadly, this is how most people in the world and the church behave.
God wants us to be willing to give up whatever He would ask us to give up in order to get more of Him. He wants us to prioritize Him in our lives more and more each day.
You can’t tell me you want wisdom if you want everything in your life to stay the same while you get it.
God does not leave us where we are when we have true encounters with Him and His Word. He moves us forward to more Christlikeness. More Christlikeness means less old and more new. In other words, more Jesus and less you.
God will bless us in so many ways if we will just make time every day to seek wisdom from Him and His Word with the intent of applying His wisdom to our lives.
Don’t think because you tell yourself you want something that you actually want it. You must be willing to do what is required in order to get it.
Are you willing to give up whatever it takes to receive the wisdom that God desires to give you? Then are you ready to apply it to your life when you receive it?
Have a blessed Wednesday everyone. I pray you will apply God’s Word to your life rather than just knowing what it says!
